The weather in Southern Ontario has been so ugly for the past couple of days. Rain, cold winds and grey skies. Not to mention that when this yucky weather started it was a Monday and I had to write my final, three-hour exam geography exam.
It just so happens – and I promise that this has nothing to do with the fact that I am blonde – that I always wear my moccasins when it rains. They are just so convenient but I guess they aren’t very practical when it comes to inclement weather. Boo!
Luckily, I was invited to attend #PressDays at @lotusleafstyle and introduced to this awesome company called Manitobah Mukluks.

I don’t know what your experience with buying moccasins has been but mine has been quite unsuccessful. I have this $15 pair from Zellers but I guess I can’t complain that they are not awesome when they only cost me $15.
Nonetheless, I want an awesome pair so I purchased myself a pair of Manitobahs! I haven’t even gotten them yet but I am already head over heels (haha, get it?) in love with my Canoe Moccasin!

I’m most excited that these moccasins are meant to be worn outside. It seems that everywhere I go, sales associates tell me “yeah, they are technically slippers but girls wear them outside.” Well, that’s great for other girls but I prefer to wear actual shoes outside. And the durable soles tell a story, too!
Manitobah Mukluks are a Canadian company started by an Aboriginal entrepreneur in 1997. Each product is genuinely aboriginal and uses traditional native design styles. All products are made in Winnipeg, Canada.
But I’m not the only one who loves Manitobah Mukluks. Canadian TV personality Jessi Cruickshank is a fan and is giving away a pair of her favourite Mukluks.

Don’t forget to ‘like’ Manitobah Mukluks on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.
